Playing Solitaire

Team PackRat -

PackRat has multiple games in the "arcade" section where you can win cards--FlipRat, Foil Fairy's Favor, Ratbeard's Adventure, and Solitaire. This article focuses on Solitaire.

To navigate to the arcade, click/tap the game controller icon at the top of the screen. If you're on mobile and your screen orientation is in portrait mode, you'll need to tap the Pack icon and select the game controller icon to go to the arcade. Once in the arcade, select which version of Solitaire you'd like to play--credits, or tickets:

Once there, you'll select a bet amount. For credits (shown in the screenshot), you tap on the "bet amount" button to cycle between the different bet amounts. For credits, this is 250, 500, 1000, 5000, 10,000, 25,000, and 50,000 credits. Note that the max prize amount increases as you increase the bet amount.

After selecting a bet amount, click/tap the "Play" button to start the game. The game screen shows various information:

The awards you win are based on how high your score is; the higher the score, the more credits/tickets and cards you can win. For the highest score, do the least amount of moves in the shortest amount of time.

The "moves" tracker at the top of the screen indicates how many moves you've made in the game so far. Every draw of a card from the pile, or movement of a card in a stack, counts as a move.

You can undo up to five moves at a time, as indicated by the number next to "undo." Undoing a move will remove the points you gained from that move.

The "new" icon will start a new game of Solitaire and forfeit your current game and the amount you bet.

The "hint" icon, when tapped/clicked, will briefly highlight in blue the card you should click/tap for a given move. If the draw pile highlights, that means your best move is to draw a new card. The hint system will also highlight a card with red if that card is not playable.

The "help" icon will show the basic rules of Solitaire when you click/tap it:

This version of Solitaire follows “klondike” Solitaire rules. The main visual difference is that instead of Spades, Clubs, Hearts, and Diamonds, there are Bananas, Cherries, Flowers, and Limes, and the face cards are illustrated as Rats!

Continue playing Solitaire until you have completed all stacks. Note that not all games are winnable!

Important notes:

  • The game auto-saves when you leave the Arcade, so feel free to leave and come back to finish a game—perfect when you’re waiting for a new card to drop or the Rats to shuffle!
  • You can simultaneously have 2 games being played—tickets and credits.
  • Games are saved to your device only—so if you are playing a game on mobile, and log into your account on web, you will not see the game you had been playing; if you sign back into your account on mobile, you’ll be able to continue on with the game.
